About Us

Before VenLink the company was created, the founders jointly managed third-party risk for a publicly traded E&P in Austin, TX from 2014 to 2021. In 2016, amid rapid growth, they sought a technological solution for vendor management, realizing the absence of a suitable tool.

This led to the development of VenLink, the Application adopted across the organization by 2018. Post-acquisition, its success prompted requests from previous users in new roles. By the end of 2022, VenLink was revamped to provide a secure vendor management platform for new clients, showcasing its commitment to cutting-edge, technology-driven solutions that automate critical functions and offer substantial value.

Josh Owens has over 20 years of oil and gas experience in operations, accounting, finance, and risk & contract management and 10 years developing and implementing third-party risk management solutions in the energy, construction, and oil and gas sectors. He is a Certified Risk Manager (CRM) through the National Alliance of Insurance Education and Research and serves on the Texas Insurance Academy Board of Directors.
